That I might be part of this. Ripple on water from a lonesome drip. A fallen tree that witnessedme. Him alone. Him and me. And that life itself could not aspire. To have someone be so admired.I threw creation to my kin. With a silence broken by a whispered wind. All of this can be broken

HOMAGE TO DE CHIRICO

In 1977 when I started taking pictures, Italy and Venice in particular were my primary destinations. I used to arrive at dawn taking the last train from Milan. I remember walking, often in a dreamlike state which was then an almost permanent condition, losing myself willingly in the murky reflections of the canals...only seemingly lost to the surrounding beauty

TIRED

"We're tired of being white and we're tired of being black, and we're not going to be white and we're not going to be black any longer. We're going to be voices now, disembodied voices in the blue sky, pleasant harmonies in the cavities of your distress. And we're going to stay this way until you straighten up, until your suffering makes you calm, and you can belive the word of G-d who has told you so many times, and in so many ways, to love one another..."
Leonard Cohen

For when my own voice?

J' HESITE

These pictures are part of a series I worked on for years back in the 80s called: 'Inner desolation and loss'. I tried to make a small book but could never really put the word 'end' to it.
It is now obsolete.

"All those comings and goings between Milan and London
Like a frightened mouse, scuffling around at the first stirring of an emotion ... flight , flight...
A large cage filled with snow. The camera like a shield, the camera like a net with which to try and catch, what?
Unconsciously, to still, maybe.
Wings fluttering, ending up by the flames of a candle."
